Protocols:
-Do not attend practice or games if you feel ill
-Wear a mask into and out of the facility. The mask can be removed while you're on the court.
-Do not enter the gym until the group in front of you has vacated completely.
-Maintain 2 metres distancing when not engaged in on-court physical activity.
The new City of Calgary Vaccine Passport Bylaw is now in place and many businesses and organizations must require:
The new bylaw covers recreational facilities and adult and youth (age 12-17) recreational sport groups. This includes Calwest Basketball and Calgary Minor Basketball. Affected players include those who will turn 12 during the basketball season.
Practices: The team manager for your team will need to see proof of vaccination or a medical exemption letter upon arrival at your first practice at any one of our practice venues. Once confirmed, your son or daughter will not be required to show it to us again for Calwest practices at this point. Otherwise, a negative COVID-19 test result will need to be presented at each practice. This policy also applies to coaches and other volunteers who attend practices.
Games: Players, coaches and spectators will be required to present proof of vaccination, a medical exemption letter or negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of each game.
